The king said, "Look! How many beautiful flowers have bloomed. How are they smiling? Can any of you tell what his smile is saying?"

A courtier said "Rajan! These flowers are saying that we are very beautiful, but we are nothing in front of King Krishnadevaraya." The second courtier said, "Your Majesty! They are saying that there is no one on earth like Maharaj. If someone had put us in a garland and put it around Maharaj's neck, our life would have been successful.

Then King Krishnadeva Raya said, "Tenaliram everyone has given his reasoning, you haven't said anything yet." Then Tenaliram immediately said, "Maharaj! The function of flowers is to smile. They do not differentiate between king and rank. Whether one praises them or condemns them, they are always smiling." King Krishna Deva Raya spoke. “You are absolutely right, Tenaliram. We are very pleased. You have said the right thing without being flattering. Take, I present this flower to you. ,

Saying this, the king broke the rose flower and gave it to Tenaliram. Tenaliram never used to lie to please anyone. He always told the truth. That is why King Krishnadeva Raya was always pleased with him, but many people did not like the truth of Tenaliram. They wanted to bring down Tenaliram from the eyes of the king.

Once a courtier invited all the courtiers to eat watermelon at his place. He also invited Tenaliram. He had many watermelons here.

Everyone sat down to eat watermelon. Then a courtier wanted to disrespect Tenaliram. He sat down to eat watermelon with Tenaliram. He himself would have eaten the pulp of the watermelon, but would put its peels in front of Tenaliram.

When all the watermelons were exhausted, the courtier said, "Friends! You all see how hungry Tenaliram is. The peels placed in front of him show that he has eaten the most watermelons we have."

Tenaliram immediately said, “Excuse me, you are more hungry than me, I have only eaten the pulp of watermelons and threw away the peels. But you didn't even leave their skin. That's why you don't even have a peel in front of you." Hearing this, the courtier's head bowed in shame.

You know: - No matter how big the situation in front of the people, he should not leave the path of truth and should always try to live by holding on to the truth.
