(A lion is locked in a cage. He is trying to get out of the cage. Just then a Pandit comes there. He starts running after seeing the lion. A thought comes to the lion's mind.)
Lion: (from Pandit) Wait, sir! I have been in this cage for a long time. I am very thirsty. Please get me out of this cage. No, no, I can't get you out of the cage.
Pandit: No brother, what do you believe?
Lion: Don't be afraid, my lord! Get me out of the cage. I'm thirsty. I will drink and come back to the cage. Lion.
Lion: You will eat me.
Lion: No sir! I'm not like that. I will not eat you, I will drink water and come back to the cage.
(The Pandit takes pity and opens the door of the cage)
Lion: (to Pandit) I am very hungry. Now I will drink water after eating you.
Pandit: Oh! What are you doing, you said, I will not eat you.
Lion: I'm hungry. I'll eat you.
Pandit: Wait, listen. Let us ask someone first. If he says then you eat me.

(Then a fox comes there)
Lion: Look! That fox is coming, we ask him.
Pandit: All right, fox brother! Come here, judge us.
(The fox comes to them)
Pandit: (with fox) Look brother! This lion was locked in a cage. It told me that I was very thirsty. He also assured me out of the cage that I would eat you. Coming to his words, I opened the cage. Now he wants to eat me. Now tell me, should the lion do this?
Fox: I don't understand anything. How can such a big lion come in this cage? I do not agree.
Lion: Oh fool! I was in this cage. Panditji opened the cage, then I came out. I am very hungry. Now I will eat pandit.
Fox: 'I still don't agree. How would you have entered this cage?
(The lion roars and enters the cage.)
Lion: (Jacking) Look fool! I had entered the cage like this.
Fox: Well, you were in the cage. But was the cage open like this?
Pandit: No, this cage was not open, it was closed like this.
(The Pandit shows the cage closed)
Fox: (laughs) Hello sir! Now let's go from here.
Both leave.
Moral of this story:- If someone believes in you, don't betray them and never trust violent people. Otherwise you too will face death like that poor Pandit.
