Some adverbs of frequency, place and time also have comparative and superlative forms:

Frequency: He has visited us more often this year than ever before.
Place: Note how 'er' is added at the end of shorter adverbs for the comparative and 'est' for the superlative forms. Ali's house is nearer to my house than to Maya's house. The house closest to mine is Farhan's.
